Julia Klaucke is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). Julia was the Head Dog Trainer for the Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS), one of CT’s largest no kill shelters in 2017.

Julia’s training philosophy is relationship centered. It focuses on building a strong bond between you and your dog. Julia’s training sets up your dog to make the right choices and gives them the space to make that choice using positive training and clear communication. It’s all about love, respect, and trust with your best friend.

Julia has mentored, trained under, and handled for the 11 time Iditarod participant Karen Ramstead. She has taken courses and seminars with the world renowned dog trainer Brenda Aloff. Every year Julia attends seminars, workshops, and classes for dog training, mushing, sled dog health care, and sled dog equipment.
